Window treatments are an important layer of design. And because I love fabrics, I can talk about window treatments for days.

For someone who doesn’t deal with design decisions on a regular basis, it can be daunting to try and figure out what will be the best window treatment for you. There are so many things out there, and part of our job is to make your decision process more fun & less overwhelming. In this episode of Koffee Break, we talk about all the different kinds of drapery panels and show some examples.
If you have 8′ ceilings in your home, you may be able to get something off the rack. But wouldn’t you rather have something that is a reflection of who you are? This layer of design is generally a very important one. Custom window treatments can be expensive, but it also gives you your own look. There are millions of materials that you can select to help tell your own unique story. When people walk into your home, they should be able to feel the kind of person you are.

Lets say you are a DIY person, you know how to sow. You can still watch this episode and get some tips from Robin, who is an expert.

I for one can design the treatments, but I use professionals like Robin to get them done for my clients as well as myself. I have a sowing machine at home, but its still sitting in the box. Even if I made time, its still something which I know will not turn out to what I want it to be. And being in design business,  & just knowing how things should & could be prevents me from wasting time, money and effort. And I guess that’s what you save by using a professional.

Robin was so much fun to hang out with, and I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I had fun making it.

Did you have any A-ha moments while watching this? I certainly did.  Let me know in the comments section.
